Darkfever is the first installment of Karen Marie Moning's Fever Series and the first novel to feature the character MacKayla Lane. It was published in October , only two months after the publication of the final book in Moning's Highlander Series. MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words. This is absolutely ridiculous. The book is now pushed back for another 6 months. No more!! I can't read a book then wait another years for the next book in the series to come out.
